Birth Doula Support

As a birth doula, I provide compassionate  support to families preparing for labor, birth, and the early moments after welcoming their baby. My role as your birth doula is to provide care and support that acknowledges the educational, emotional, spiritual, social, and physical factors that can impact the perinatal journey.  I provide birth doula services in Philadelphia, PA and South Jersey, supporting families throughout the city and nearby communities (up to 1 hour from 19143 zipcode).  I support families planning hospital, birth center, and home births.

My approach to birth doula care is:

  • Trauma-informed — honoring past experiences and emotional safety

  • Culturally responsive — respecting each family’s values, culture, and lived experience

Insurance Coverage

If you are looking for a doula near you that accepts insurance, I accept Pennsylvania and New Jersey Medicaid and can currently accept the following insurance plans below, with insurance covering up to 12 prenatal/postpartum visits (1 hour) and attendance at your birth. We can work together to create a package that works best for you. However, for first time birthers, most of the visits will be used for childbirth and newborn care education.

Carrot Approved Doula in Philadelphia 

I am an approved provider with Carrot, a global fertility support and family-building benefit. If your employer offers Carrot, you may be eligible for reimbursement for birth doula services. I’m happy to guide you through how to use your benefits!

Nurture + Thrive Package: Comprehensive Birth & Postpartum Support

This package includes:

  • Access to N+T’s digital resource library, filled with valuable information on childbirth and postpartum topics.
  • Continuous communication during pregnancy via email, text, or phone during business hours.
  • Expert referrals to community resources and evidence-based information upon request.
  • (3) one hour in-person prenatal visits to discuss your birth + postpartum plan / preferences, comfort measures, and labor rehearsal 
    • Newborn Care Education Class ($75): Add a Newborn Care Education Class to your birth doula package for a private  personalized, supportive session that helps you feel confident and prepared for caring for your newborn in the early days at home.
  • 24/7 on-call availability beginning two weeks before your estimated due date.
  • Continuous, in-person labor support at your chosen birth location, from active labor through 1-2 hours after birth.
  • (2) one hour postpartum home visits to assist with recovery and adjustment during the early weeks (2-6 weeks).
  • Ongoing phone, email, and text support for the first 12 weeks of postpartum.
